Youngs Fisheries of Frinton

Youngs Fisheries of Frinton was opened on 7th of January 2000. We are a local family run business, with over 35 years in the fishtrade. Our first stall selling fish was on the front of Clacton Pier. We offer fresh wholesale, serving the local restaurants, pubs and cafes. Youngs Fisheries source the best quality fish from around the Coast and collect daily from Billingsgate fish market.

We hand pick our own dressed crabs, as well as do cooked dressed salmon to order. All of our fish platters are bespoke made to order. Youngs Fisheries are open Tuesday to Saturday 8:30am to 4pm. Our local delivery service is available on Tuesday and Friday, FREE on orders over £15.

Youngs Other Plaice

Youngs Other Plaice fish and chip shop was opened on 17th September 2003. It’s the only ‘chippy’ in Frinton and is well supported by local and tourist trade. We source the finest quality “line-caught” sustainable fish and have specials available daily, including battered lemon sole fillet, breaded whitebait, breaded butterfly king prawns, battered squid rings and salt and pepper squid.

Our restaurant/takeaway now offers a Gluten Free option every Friday, to cater for everyone’s taste. We have a small restaurant area but we are predominantly a take away business. Youngs Other Plaice are open 7 days a week, ALL DAY from 11:30am till close at approximately 8:30pm. The only days we close are Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. All telephone orders are welcome. If you have a large party, we are happy to cater for you!
